If you want to become a ‘partner’ for a CyberTruck rental system, you will need to:

  1. Look after one of our cars (Dual Motor CyberTruck - CT) - keep the car cleaned and charged (yes, you can also use the car as needed for personal use when not rented).

  2. Deliver the car (CT) to your local domestic airport as needed for rentals.

  3. You will need to also own a Tesla Model Y that is also offered for rentals (via Turo) and the total profits will be split 50/50 (or, in some cases we will send you both a CyberTruck and a Model Y from our fleet and your ‘cut’ of the total profits will be 25% not 50%)

  4. The projected total rentals per 2x car set (1x CT & 1x Y) will be $2,500 USD per 14-day block of rentals.

Assuming you own a Tesla Model Y then your car and our car (CT) will be booked as a 14-day rental ‘block’ with 7-days in each car - and your ‘profits’ will be $1,250 USD per 14-days (with max utilization this means you get 26x $1,250 = $32,500-USA PA)

Bond and Billing:

In 2025 we will open a ‘direct billing’ service however in 2024 as we ramp our ‘owned fleet’ to 24-cars we will initially be using Turo as a ‘billing partner’ meaning that all bookings will be confirmed and paid via Turo.

The TeslaTaxi.com.au service has been running in Australia [AU] since mid 2019 (TeslaTaxi [TT] owns CyberTruckRentalsUSA.com and F150LightningRentals.com) and we [TT] now run all payments for our AU fleet via Turo insurance and billing, Turo opened in AU about 4-years after we started rentals via TT, in the 4-years of independent operations we identified several ‘pain points’ that we have addressed under Turo by innovating ways to add extra ‘security’ for the car owners - the main way we will offer extra protections for our car-sitting partners in the USA is by way of a required ‘bond linked to UMC’ - Turo does not support rentals on the UMC, however, when a booking is made on “CyberTruckRentalsUSA.com“ one of our ‘pre-payment’ conditions is a $600-USD bond paid by the renter to ‘rent for free’ the UMC, this means that if the renter refuses to pay any of the Turo fees after the booking, &/or if they damage the car (like rim damage or other ‘cosmetic’ things not well addressed by Turo systems, then the $600 bond can be forfeited to the owner of the car)

When we evaluate any potential ‘car-sitters’ in the USA we need the following:

a. Your address (not exact address, just the location of your nearest Tesla SuperCharger and the distance to your home from it)

b. Details on your charging (what AC home charging options do you have)

c. Details on your ‘time commitment’ - i.e. are you willing to do car sitting for a 90-day or 180-day or 365-day contract term.

Fill in the below form if you want to submit an application to become a car sitter - NOTE: If approved you will need to pay a $1,200-USD bond before taking delivery of one of our cars.

FAQ-Importing CyberTrucks to Australia: What is ‘drive by wire’ and ‘V2G/V2V/V2H/V2L’?

A: We have included some info here for people looking to import/expert the CyberTrucks to/from the USA - ‘Drive by wire’ means that LHD/RHD conversion may be possible at a low cost - if you fill in the above form you can be added to our email list where we will be sharing info on conversions as we gather it.

V2L/V2x: Vehicle to Load means running an AC power load off an EV - the CyberTruck sold in the USA in 2024 will ‘power’ US 110V/120V and AU 240V homes/cars/loads ‘out of the box’ and as you can see in the above image, Tesla ‘may’ have added the necessary wiring to the Frunk and to the Roof for additional outlets on top of the 2x in the car and the 3x in the bed (details of this are TBC as of writing this note 04/12/2023) - the max power you can get from the 5x AC outlets that are factory fitted is 9.6KW total - [4x 120V @ 20A is 2.4KW each *4 = 9.6KW OR 1x ‘NEMA1450’ 240V/40A outlet = 9.6KW]

more info; https://www.tesla.com/powershare

Assuming importation to Australia is possible in 2024 there would seem to be no need to alter the V2L options/outlets in this car, you would simply need a NEMA1450 to AU AC plug adapter for the bed outlet OR you may be able to get the USA 120V Tesla HPWC to let you tap into the full 11.5KW max ‘home power’ backup with other required Tesla items and PowerWall etc.

DC Charging NOTE: the Tesla cars sold in the USA have the NACS plug for DC charging, the plug in the UK and Australia is the CCS2 DC plug, as such charging any NACS car in UK/AU may not be possible with DC power.

CyberTruck now CHEAPER than PowerWall for full home power backup in Australia…

The CyberTruck DUAL-MOTOR for $80k USD has a 123KWH battery pack size, this is about the SAME as 10x 13.5KWH Tesla PowerWall packs, each PowerWall in AU can cost approx $20k AUD, this means that importing a CyberTruck to use in-place of 10x PowerWalls for a harge off-grid home may already in Q4-2023 be a CHEAPER way to power your home! use the above form to join our group for more info on AU imports in 2024/2025 of ‘ex rental’ cars… (12-months and older)
